DRH Maternity and Newborn Nursery Care

Dimmit Regional Hospital would love to welcome and care for you and your new family. The birth of your newborn is a uniquely personal experience that brings great joy and lifetime memories. Here at DRH we are dedicated to providing you and your family, focused attention with compassionate care as you go through the journey of delivering your baby. We take great pride at being part of your new beginning.

Your care is managed by your doctor and our registered nurses. Our pleasant group of nurses offer you the best experience and care you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. All nurses in Labor and Delivery and Nursery Care complete extensive training and hold multiple areas of certification such as S.T.A.B.L.E. which stands for Sugar and Safe Care, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work and Emotional Support. Other certifications include Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), among others to deliver high quality care.

DRH has two pediatricians who offer 24 hour services for your newborn.

Having beautiful memories to cherish this special day is important to new moms. DRH offers families pictures of their newborn with Our MOM 365. Also a special surprise mailed to your home to enjoy after delivery.

Healthcare Research Center

Dimmit Regional Hospital understands the desire family members and patients have to conduct online health research. Below you will find a research library to tens of thousands of health sources where you may read and examine health topics of interest to you. The program includes the Merriam Webster Medical Dictionary, A research engine, and The FastNurse Personal Research Service as well as other interesting components.
