Physical Therapist - Physical Therapy
Location: Carrizo Springs, Texas
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for administering physical therapy treatment primarily to inpatients, and outpatient as needed. Performs treatments and exercises to help patients recover from illnesses or injury, using various treatment techniques to develop personalized treatment plans.
Supervised by Physical Therapy Director.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and review the medical history and referrals from doctors and surgeons.
2. Coach patients and teach them therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition.
3. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of function by restoring function, ensuring safety, and preventing disability following injury, disease. or physical disability.
4. Treats patients in accordance with Physical Therapy standards of care and practice and scope of practice.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
 Currently licensed by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
Current BLS for healthcare providers required.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Advanced computer knowledge required.
Functional Position Requirements:
Job requirements include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, bending, squatting, lifting and reaching. Requires good finger dexterity, repetitive motions with hands and fingers. Requires ability to have good vision and hearing.
