Licensed Vocational Nurse (Emergency Room) - Full Time Night Shift - Emergency Room
Job Summary:
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department setting that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care for all age groups under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all departments with supervision by a Registered Nurse or Physician.
Supervised by Emergency Department Supervisor.
Position Requirements:
•High school diploma or GED required.
•Current Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse license required.
•Current BLS for healthcare professionals required at time of hire.
•ACLS & PALS certification required within 18 months of hire.
•2 years LVN experienced in a hospital setting preferred.
•Successful completion of in-house IV Therapy course required within 18 months of hire.
•Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and STABLE certification preferred.
•Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
•Basic computer knowledge.
