Registered Nurse (Emergency Room) - Full Time Night Shift - Emergency Room
Location: Texas
Dimmit Regional Hospital is located in South Texas in the city of Carrizo Springs, County of Dimmit. DRH is a 25 bed licensed critical access hospital with 6-beds and triage area, Level IV Trauma Emergency Room.
This position is located in Carrizo Springs, Texas
Position Description:
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department within the RN scope of practice. Triage patients of all ages coming to the emergency department and assumes care as assigned.
Provide care to patients based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system.
Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other healthcare team members as required, and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal medical and/or trauma care of the patient.
Supervised by: Emergency Department Supervisor
Position Qualifications:
●Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
●Current Texas Registered Nurse License required.
●One year experience as a Registered Nurse in ER preferred.
●Current BLS for healthcare professionals required at time of hire.
●TNCC required within one year of hire.
●ACLS & PALS certification required within six months of hire. PALS not required once ENPC is obtained.
●Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
●Basic computer knowledge required.
Functional Position Requirements:
Job requirements include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting and reaching. Requires good finger dexterity, repetitive motions with hands and fingers. Requires ability to have good vision and hearing. Pushing and pulling equipment may be necessary.
