Registered Nurse (Operating Room) - Full Time Day Shift - Operating Room
Registered Nurse
Location: Texas
Dimmit Regional Hospital is located in South Texas in the city of Carrizo Springs, County of Dimmit. DRH is a 24 bed licensed critical access hospital.
Position Summary:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients. Provides surgical patients with perinoperative care in recovery, procedure and operating rooms. Prepares instruments and equipment for surgical procedures. Under the direction of the OR Supervisor.
Position Requirements:
●Current Texas Licensed Vocational Nurses License required.
●One or more years of Operating Room experience preferred.
●Current BLS for healthcare provider certification required.
●ACLS, PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
●Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
●Maintains basic computer knowledge.
Functional Job Requirements:
Job requirements include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting and reaching. Requires good finger dexterity, repetitive motions with hands and fingers. Requires ability to have good vision and hearing. Pushing, pulling and lifting may be necessary.
