Registered Pharmacy Technician (PRN) - Pharmacy
Location: Texas
Dimmit Regional Hospital is located in South Texas in the city of Carrizo Springs, County of Dimmit. DRH is a 24 bed licensed critical access hospital.
Job Summary:
Supporting pharmacological services by assembling, stocking and distributing medications. Responsible for maintaining records by recording and filing the prescriptions and orders of Physicians. Sorting, stocking and labeling medications and monitoring inventory. Complying with rules, regulations and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces. Maintain inventory on all nursing units and in pharmacy.
Supervised by Pharmacy Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
●High school graduate or equivalent required.
●Certified Pharmacy Technician required.
●Ability to perform independently, maintains records as appropriate.
●Minimal one-year experience in a hospital or medical office/clinic preferred.
●Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
●Provide excellent customer service.
●Must possess basic computer knowledge.
Functional Position Requirements:
Job requirements include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting and reaching. Requires good finger dexterity, repetitive motions with hands and fingers. Requires ability to have good vision and hearing. Pushing and pulling equipment may be necessary.
